A Living Witness of the God-ordained Way

Living a Life of Loving the Lord, Like the Light of Dawn
I first met Brother Paul forty-eight years ago while serving at Meeting Hall 3 of the church in Taipei. At that time, he had just been admitted to Soochow University, yet he resolutely gave up the convenience of campus life and intentionally moved into the student center at Meeting Hall 3 to receive spiritual training, pursuing a deeper building up in life. Even more touching was that this heart for the Lord had taken root in his youth—already in his student days, he had cultivated the precious desire to serve the Lord full-time. Immediately after graduating from university, he answered the Lord’s calling with concrete action, stepping onto the path of consecration and beginning a lifelong journey of serving our dear Lord Jesus Christ:
“That we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days” (Luke 1:74–75).
Being Perfected by the Ministry of the Age in All the Aspects
In 1984, when Brother Lee returned to Taiwan to lead the practice of the God-ordained way, Brother Paul followed closely with a burning spirit. When the Full-time Training in Taipei was established in 1986, he laid everything aside to devote himself wholeheartedly to the training, receiving comprehensive perfecting in the Bible, the truth, the New Testament ministry, the church life, and the practice of service.
Brother Paul not only pursued growth in the truth but also poured himself out in service. He bore a strong burden for door-knocking, visiting people, preaching the gospel, and leading people to be baptized. His extraordinary diligence in bringing people to salvation through baptism even placed him among the top in the training, earning him an award from the training center. This certificate was not merely human recognition but also the Lord’s commendation for a heart that loved Him and loved souls.
Being a Fighting Brother of the Lord for His Divine Propagation
In early 1988, when the trumpet call for the five-year gospelization of Taiwan was sounded, Brother Paul once again responded to the Lord’s calling with absolute consecration. He gave up everything to fully throw himself into the move of the Lord’s recovery, traveling to various localities and actively preaching the gospel. Whether in the countryside or in the townships, with steadfast faith and a burning spirit, he labored in one accord with the saints to promote the increase and propagation of the church.
Opening a New Page in the History of the Lord’s Recovery
After 1990, as a group of perfected young saints from Taiwan were sent out to spread the testimony to different parts of the world, Brother Paul was also led by the Lord into a cross-cultural gospel journey. While some saints went to the Russian-speaking world to sow the seeds of the truth after the fall of the Iron Curtain, he was sent to the United States to labor in the church in Monterey Park, Southern California. Even though he primarily focused on the Chinese-speaking community, yet also cared for the English-speaking and even Spanish-speaking community—building up the Body of Christ in this multicultural immigrant city under the governing vision of the One Body.
Three Characteristics of the Brother’s Service
Prayer, the Spirit, and the Word—the Three Substances of the Power of the Lord’s Recovery
For the increase needed to fulfill God’s New Testament economy, prayer, the Spirit, and the word—the three substances of the power of the Lord’s recovery—are indispensable. The move of God’s economy must be carried out with much and thorough prayers, by relying on the power of the Spirit, and by ministering the word of the Lord.
Throughout his life, Brother Paul faithfully maintained this threefold practice. First, he upheld a solid prayer life, knowing that prayer is the source of all spiritual breakthroughs. Second, he diligently exercised and released his spirit, following the guidance of the Holy Spirit—never relying on himself but always seeking the Spirit’s leading. Third, he consistently enjoyed and supplied the Lord’s word, receiving the dispensing of the life-giving Spirit in morning revival each day and organically feeding others, with rivers of living water flowing continually. This threefold practice made him an open channel for the divine supply, allowing God’s economy to flow unhindered. Whenever he released a spiritual burden, the living word of life would flow forth in a strong spirit—something unforgettable.
Taking Christ as the Center, the Body as the Line, and the New Jerusalem as the Goal
Brother Paul’s service was always centered on Christ—helping people to know, experience, and enjoy Christ. He took the Body of Christ as the line, diligently leading the saints to attend conferences and trainings to directly receive the supply of the ministry. He was clear that genuine service is not doing one’s own work, but coordinating together in the Body. Whether in the church life or in his daily living, he lived out a testimony of harmonious coordination, enabling the saints to move forward in one accord.
Such service took the New Jerusalem as its ultimate goal—not only living out the reality of this corporate entity, but also working out its testimony, until the highest purpose in God’s eternal economy is fully fulfilled.
Steadfastly and Persistently Practicing the God-ordained Way to the End
A defining characteristic of Brother Paul’s service was his steadfast and persistent practice of the God-ordained way. Faithfully fulfilling the function of a New Testament gospel priest (Rom. 15:16), he went out week after week to visit people and preach the gospel with long-suffering endurance.
For fifteen years in the church in Monterey Park, he consistently went out with the brothers and sisters to visit people and preach the gospel. In his service, we see a precious pattern—not seeking quick results but patiently laboring on a person for years. It was precisely this persistence that enabled him not only to lead people to be baptized into The Triune God but also to bear remaining fruit, in keeping with this year’s spiritual burden for the North America Chinese-speaking Perfecting Training: “Go and bear remaining fruit”(John 15:16)
Vital Groups Can Only Be Produced Through a Saint Who Is
Absolute for the Increase of the Lord’s Recovery—
Our Brother Chin Was Such a One
Looking back on his life, we are reminded once again that “Vital groups can only be produced through a saint who gives his all and is absolute for the increase of the Lord’s recovery.” Brother Paul was such a one. Not only was he absolute for the Lord’s interest, but he also inspired other saints to join in fully.
In him, we saw the vitality and increase of the vital groups; in him, we saw the practice and effectiveness of the God-ordained way; in him, we saw the execution and expression of God’s eternal economy; and in him, we saw Christ, the Body of Christ, and the coming New Jerusalem.

一位神命定之路的活见证人—秦伯光弟兄
正直爱主过一生，如同黎明的光
初次遇见伯光弟兄，要追溯到四十八年前在台北市召会三会所服事的岁月。那时，刚考入东吴大学的伯光弟兄，为着追求更深的生命造就，毅然放下便利的校园生活，特意迁入三会所学生中心接受属灵的操练。更令人感动的是，这份爱主的心志早在他年少时便已萌芽——从学生时代起，他就萌发全时间服事主的宝贵心愿。大学毕业后，他立即以行动回应主的呼召，踏上奉献之路，开始了终身事奉的旅程。“叫我们既从仇敌手中被救出来，就可以一生一世在祂面前，坦然无惧的用圣和义事奉祂（路一74、75）。”
生逢其时，接受时代职事的成全
1984年，李弟兄回台湾带领“神命定之路”的实行时，伯光弟兄便以热切的灵紧紧跟随。到了1986年，台北市召会全时间训练中心设立时，他更是放下一切，全身心投入训练，在圣经、真理、新约职事、教会生活、事奉操练等各方面接受全面的成全。
伯光弟兄不仅在真理上追求长进，更在服事上竭力摆上。他叩门访人、传扬福音、带人受浸，总是满有负担，甚至因着在带人受浸得救的操练上格外殷勤，曾名列前茅，得到训练中心的嘉奖。这份奖状不仅是对他劳苦的肯定，更是主对他爱主、爱灵魂之心的称许。
投身开展行列中，作主争战弟兄
1988年初，当台湾五年福音化的号角吹响时，伯光弟兄再次以绝对的奉献回应主的呼召。他放下一切，全然投身于主恢复的行动中，遍行于各地，积极开展、传扬福音。无论是乡村还是城镇，他都以坚定的信心和火热的灵，与圣徒们同心合意，推动召会的繁殖与扩增。
开创主恢复的历史，写下崭新的一页
1990年后，随着一批被成全的台湾年轻圣徒受差遣往世界各地开展，伯光弟兄也蒙主带领，踏上跨文化的福音征程。有些圣徒奔赴俄语世界，在铁幕倒塌后的广袤土地上撒播真理的种子；而他则受差遣前往美国，在南加州蒙特利公园市召会开展，以全时间事奉的心志，弟兄虽然主要是开展华语，但他同时也兼顾英语甚至西班牙语，在一个身体的眼光中，在这多元文化的移民之城建造基督的身体。
弟兄服事的三个特质
祷告，那灵与话—主恢复能力的三个实质
要得着扩增以完成神新约的经纶，祷告，那灵与话—主恢复能力的三个实质，是绝对不可少的，需要借着许多祷告，信靠那灵的能力，供应主的话来执行神经纶的行动。
伯光弟兄一生忠信地持守着完成神新约经纶的三重操练：首先是稳固的祷告生活，他深知这是所有属灵突破的源头；其次是认真的操练灵，释放灵，随从圣灵引导，凡事不靠自己而寻求那灵的带领；最后是坚定持续享受并供应主的话，每日晨兴接受生命之灵的分赐，又生机地喂养他人，不断涌流活水的江河。这三重操练把弟兄构成为神圣供应的畅通管道，使神的经纶得以自由运行。弟兄释放负担时，在刚强的灵里涌流生命的活话，令人难以忘记。
以基督为中心，以基督的身体为路线，并以新耶路撒冷为目标
伯光弟兄的服事始终以基督为中心，他带领人认识基督、经历基督、享受基督，并以基督的身体为路线，竭力带领圣徒们参加各类的特会训练，直接得着职事的供应。他深知真实的服事不在于作自己的工作，而是在身体里一同配搭。无论是在召会生活，或日常工作中，他都活出和谐配搭的见证，使众圣徒能同心合意地往前。
这样的服事乃是以新耶路撒冷为终极目标—不仅要活出这团体的实际，更要作出这团体的见证，直到达到神在永远经纶中所定的最高目的。
坚定持续实行神命定之路，直到路终
伯光弟兄的服事彰显出一个鲜明的特质，就是坚定持续地实行神命定之路。他忠信地履行新约福音祭司的职分（罗十五16），以恒久忍耐的心志周复一周地外出访人传福音。有十五年之久在蒙特利公园市（Monterey Park）召会周周带弟兄姊妹们出外访人，传福音。在他的服事中，我们看见一个宝贵的榜样：不追求即时的果效，而是愿意在一个人身上持续劳苦数年。正是这样的坚持，使他不仅带人浸入三一神里，更是结出常存的果子，正如今年北美华语训练的负担，“前去结出常存的果子”。
活力排只能借着一个拼上一切，并绝对为着主恢复扩增的圣徒而产生，
弟兄就是这样的一位
回顾弟兄一生的见证，我们再次领会“活力排只能借着一个拼上一切，并绝对为着主恢复扩增的圣徒而产生”。伯光弟兄就是这样一位拼上一切的弟兄，不仅自己绝对为着主的权益，更带动其他圣徒一同投入。在他身上，我们看见了活力排的活力与繁增；在他身上，我们看见了神命定之路的实行与功效；在他身上，我们看见了神永远经纶的执行与彰显；在他身上，我们看见了基督、基督的身体以及将来的新耶路撒冷。
