Our Hope – Heirs of Glory

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

The Goal of God’s Salvation

Romans 1:1, 3 Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, a called apostle, separated unto the gospel of God… Concerning His Son…

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery bringing you into fear again, but you have received a spirit of sonship in which we cry, Abba, Father!

16 The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God.

Galatians 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

4:7 So then you are no longer a slave but a son; and if a son, an heir also through God.

Our Hope

Romans 8:17 And if children, heirs also; on the one hand, heirs of God; on the other, joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him that we also may be glorified with Him.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time not worthy to be compared with the coming glory to be revealed upon us.

19 For the anxious watching of creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of God.

20 For the creation was made subject to vanity, not of its own will, but because of Him who subjected it,

21 In hope that the creation itself will also be freed from the slavery of corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groans together and travails in pain together until now.

Psalm 19:1 …The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.

3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.

4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world…

Romans 8:23 And not only so, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan in ourselves, eagerly awaiting sonship, the redemption of our body.

2 Corinthians 5:4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

Romans 8:24 For we were saved in hope. But a hope that is seen in not hope, for who hopes in what he ses?

25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly await it through endurance.

26 Moreover, in like manner the Spirit also joins in to help us in our weakness, for we do not know for what we should pray as is fitting, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 But He who searches the heart knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to God.

Sonship – What does it include?

The life – its capacity to do everything in us

The position – the right to the tree of life. Blessed are those!

The living – uplifted and restricted as sons of the King

The enjoyment – the riches

The birthright – the foretaste and promise of the coming inheritance

The inheritance – The full harvest of the Spirit, being freed from the old creation and one with God for eternity

The manifestation – swallowed by life – I knew there was something different about you!
