2016 Germany Follow-up Gospel Trips Announcement 二〇一六年德国后续福音旅行通启

NOTE: The following is an update on the situation in Germany. Please check back soon as we anticipate that this site will be updated again in the coming days.

We have entered a new phase in the work in Germany. The initial Gospel Trips have been completed and the extremely favorable results compel us to continue to seek workers to thrust into the harvest. Although the flood of refugees into Germany has slowed for a time, the window of opportunity for us to reach the people remains open.

After the Iraq War in 1991, Brother Lee said:

“We have to consider what the Lord wants us to do in this present time. There is the need of an appropriate direction for the Lord’s move in His recovery today to match the recent changes in the world situation.” –The World Situation and the Direction of the Lord’s Move.

This burden, he said, was derived from the principle that the world situation and the Lord’s move are directly related: “There have been many great and recent changes in the world. It is a historical fact that the world situation has always been the indicator of the Lord’s move on earth.” Id.

From September of last year, brothers in the Lord’s Recovery came together to pray and fellowship concerning the unprecedented migration of over one million refugees from Middle East into Europe. This was primarily happening in Germany. The decision was made to schedule a series of seven Gospel Trips to four designated cities in Germany; Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart. These trips followed an initial trip in January 2016 by the trainees of the FTTA along with serving ones. Altogether approximately 1,000 saints participated.

The results have been dramatic and encouraging. In each of the four cities, many new ones, both refugees and local Germans, have been given to us. For example, we now have over 1,000 contacts in the four cities, with almost 300 having prayed to receive the Lord. If just the newly saved are added to the churches, that will be a 100% increase in Germany. It is clear that the fields in Germany “are already white for harvest.” (John 4:35.) Yet the workers are few.

In order to provide continuing care and much needed shepherding, the coworkers have determined that the work should continue for the remainder of 2016. As a result, there is now the opportunity to participate in the shepherding phase of this labor in September, October, and November.

As before, burdened saints may apply through this website. We especially encourage those with experience in Germany (from a prior Gospel Trip or otherwise), those with a burden for Europe, those with language capability in German, Arabic, or Farsi, those who are willing and able to coordinate and, MOST IMPORTANT, those who can remain in Germany for a minimum of one month. Even better we ask the saints to consider staying for the entire three month period (September-November).

Please be aware of the following requirements:

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older;
  • No children are permitted;
  • All participants must be self sufficient, meaning they take care of their own expenses, transport, and meals.
  • All participants must have a heart for people and have experience that indicates a willingness and ability to coordinate with others;
  • All participants must be able to remain in Germany for a minimum of one month; and
  • You must indicate firm dates of availability of at least 30 continuous days during the three month period of September, October, and November 2016.

We request that you submit an application and obtain an elder’s recommendation. The recommendation should confirm that you are capable in the English language, that you are in good health, and that you are able to coordinate with other saints. No one will be able to participate without an adequate elder’s recommendation. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM US VERIFYING YOUR PARTICIPATION.
