Today was undoubtedly the climax of our gospel activities in Murfreesboro this week. Though the temperature had dropped yet again, we still managed to put over 90 Bibles into seeking hands and garnered another 18 contacts in the process.
The highlight of our day however, was definitely the Bible/BfA seminar we had in the evening. Two brothers coordinated together to deliver a terrific presentation on the history and mission of Bibles for America, as well as an interactive exercise in which the audience got to experience and explore the many resources that the Recovery Version offers to help open up the Bible.
Then, a number of local saints and students who had received the Recovery Version during last year’s GTCA trip testified concerning the help and benefit they have received from their Bible studies together this past year.
About 10 new ones showed up at the seminar; the majority signed up for regular appointments/Bible studies afterward. One of them, a self-identified agnostic, even prayed to receive the Lord.
Tonight’s events have encouraged us beyond what words can described, and we are filled with praises and thanks to the Lord for what He has done at MTSU.
Prayer Burdens:
- Thank and praise the Lord for all the ones who were saved and all the connections made this week
- The saints in Murfreesboro would be strengthened in their follow up with and shepherding of the new ones
- The young people’s meeting tomorrow (2/7)—the Lord would cover all the trainees who will be testifying concerning our experiences in the training
