Application for 2022 European Gospel Trips

Dear brothers,

Since the war in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022, more than 4 million Ukrainian and foreign refugees have fled, mainly into countries in eastern Europe. The United Nations has stated that this is the largest movement of people in Europe since World War II, even surpassing the migration of the Middle Eastern refugees to Germany in 2016. Based on our experience in 2016, we wish to seize this opportunity for the gospel and the strengthening of the churches in Europe.

Poland has received the bulk of the refugees, and very large numbers have gone to other countries. Many have entered through Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania and either remained or continued onward to Vienna, which has become a major transit hub for access to other destinations.

Based on this, we are planning for two teams to participate in the gospel as follows:

Team A will cover Poland, beginning in Warsaw and three major Polish cities, as well as receiving centers near the Polish/Ukrainian border. This team will labor in the four following cycles:

  • A1: April 11–24
  • A2: April 25–May 8
  • A3: May 9–22
  • A4: May 23–June 5

Team B will cover three European Union border countries of Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania, as well as Austria. The cycles will be carried out as follows:

  • B1: April 5–17 (Slovakia and Austria)
  • B2: April 18–May 1 (Hungary)
  • B3: April 18–May 1 (Romania)

Brothers, we ask that you consider the saints in your churches that you would send. We urge you to give this prayerful consideration. Please review the attached document and distribute it only to those saints that you would recommend for participation. The saints must be flexible and able to coordinate, taking care of the one accord. Language capability is a strong asset (Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, etc.). English proficiency is mandatory. Mature or trained sisters are strongly encouraged to participate, as the refugees are mainly women and children.

Attached to this email is an application form for the saints to complete, based on their fellowship with you. A submitted application will be an indication to us that you agree with their participation, although participation is not guaranteed. We very much appreciate that you would co-labor with us in this move.

May the Lord fully bless His recovery in these days!

The coordinating brothers
