Update from saints in Chernihiv 04.04.2022
We thank the Lord for His mercy and for all the prayers of the saints.
On 1 April there was the last shelling of Chernihiv. Since that day we have enjoyed a peaceful situation. This Lord’s Day we were even able to conduct the Lord’s table meeting.
All foreign troops have withdrawn from the Chernihiv region. The city is recovering now to a peaceful living. The most serious damage was made to the infrastructure. So, there is no central heating system anymore, and parts of the city are without electricity or water supply. Maintenance is going on all around the city.
As far as we know all the saints are safe. We don’t have news from two brothers yet, but it was difficult to connect with them before the war also. More than 40 saints and their family members had left Chernihiv and moved to other countries or to the western part of Ukraine. Approximately 20 saints stayed in Chernihiv, and some stayed in surrounding villages. Two young brothers from Chernihiv are fulfilling their military duty. We pray that they would be kept in the Lord’s hand.
All this time we felt Lord’s shepherding and care and supply from the Body of Christ.
We are really thankful for all the prayers. We still ask you to pray especially for the localities in Ukraine where saints live and are still under great threat: Kharkiv, Mariupol, Mykolaiv, Myrnograd, Melitopol, Dobropillya, Bilozerske and other cities in the south and east of Ukraine.
