Matthew 12.15-21

15 But Jesus, knowing it, withdrew from there. And many followed Him, and He healed them all;

16 And He charged them not to make Him known,

17 In order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,

18 “Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul has found delight. I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will announce justice to the Gentiles.

19 He will not strive nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.

20 A bruised reed He will not break, and smoking flax He will not quench until He brings forth justice unto victory.

21 And in His name will the Gentiles hope.”

Isaiah 42.1-4

1 Here is My Servant, whom I uphold, / My chosen One in whom My soul delights; / I have put My Spirit upon Him, / And He will bring forth justice to the nations.

2 He will not cry out, nor lift up His voice, / Nor make His voice heard in the street.

3 A bruised reed He will not break; / And a dimly burning flax He will not extinguish; / He will bring forth justice in truth.

4 He will not faint [burn dimly], nor will He be discouraged [bruised], / Until He has established justice in the earth; / And the coastlands will wait for His instruction.

Romans 5.10 For if we, being enemies, were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more we will be saved in His life, having been reconciled, Proverbs 25.2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, / But the glory of kings is to search a matter out.

Luke 9.54-56

54 And seeing this, the disciples James and John said, Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?

55 But turning, He rebuked them and said, You do not know of what kind of spirit you are.

56 The Son of Man has not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them. And they went into another village.

1 Kings 19.18 Yet I have left Myself seven thousand in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed unto Baal and every mouth that has not kissed him.

Revelation 5.4-5, 9-10

4 And I wept much because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or look into it.

5 And one of the elders said to me, Do not weep; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so that He may open the scroll and its seven seals.

9 And they sing a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, for You were slain and have purchased for God by Your blood men out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

10 And have made them a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign on the earth.
