Dear saints,
On June 21, at around 3:00 am, the fire department came to our meeting hall (at 2345 Shallowford Rd.) to put out a fire on the east side of the building that faces Mary Scott Park.
Although the fire was contained on that side of the meeting hall, the hall has still sustained fairly significant smoke and water damage in addition to the damage from the fire itself.
The fire department’s arson investigation team has determined that the fire was deliberately set. We don’t pray against a person, but we do pray against the enemy’s attack. May the enemy be fully bound and exposed.
Regarding the cost of the damages, know that the church has insurance that covers this kind of damage and we are already filing claims and working with insurance adjusters.
We will try to keep all the saints updated going forward concerning the next steps for the meeting hall. For the next few months, it is unusable.
Please pray for the Lord’s interests to be protected and guarded here in Atlanta and for the continued safety of all the saints. God is on the throne, Christ is Victor, and though Satan fights with all his power, we are at the fountain drinking.
