On March 16, 2020 (Monday), our President placed the entire Luzon on enhanced community quarantine following further increase of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country. This involves strict home quarantine and suspension of public transportation.
Having the Church Life Online
Let us do our best to join cloud meetings (virtual meetings on the Internet) to fellowship and pray together. Serving brothers per hall will endeavor to instruct saints how to do so.
In order for saints to continue receiving spiritual supply, the church website (www.churchinmanila.org) will continue to contain the PSRP of the morning revival for the current week and radio program of the weekly life-study pursuit (both in English only) as well as the spoken message of the morning revival for the current week (in Chinese only).
Moreover, timely articles and messages are being posted periodically. Follow the church social media to receive notification of new postings. Both our Facebook page and Instagram account have the same name—The Church in Manila.
No Internet, No Problem
Let us strengthen our shepherding at this time. We may still use our phones to reach out to saints with no internet connection. We may think our portion is small but the Christ we have enjoyed is barley (He is in resurrection) and He is more than enough to meet the need. Let us apply Him.
Breaking Bread to Remember the Lord
Although we cannot be together physically to meet and break bread, at the very least, we may still sanctify our usual Lord’s Day time for attending a cloud meeting to praise the Lord with other saints. Please contact the serving brothers per hall to know the schedule as well as to get the link to access the cloud meeting.
For families who wish to break bread at home, we have a video tutorial on how to make the bread for bread-breaking. Please click here to view: Video 1- Using Non-stick Pan Video 2 (video links to be added later)
When breaking bread at home, please remember to use pure grape juice or grape wine for the cup. There is a spiritual significance to it.
Concerning Offerings
Saints may deposit directly into church account in Metrobank. Account name is Church Assembly Hall Inc. Account number is 191-3-19150533-7. To keep offerings for specific items anonymous, please indicate purpose on the deposit slip and drop into the offering box when there is opportunity again.
Concerning Hall 2 Construction
The work is temporarily suspended until the quarantine is over. Please continue to remember the construction in prayer.
Stay Safe
Please refer to previous guidelines in the March 14, 2020 announcement in order to remain safe amidst the spread of COVID-19.
Let us not panic, but persevere in prayer (Eph. 6:18; Col. 4:2; Rom. 12:12), looking to the Lord on the throne who administers all things in the universe for the carrying out of the divine economy and the furtherance of His move on earth.
