In the Body we are being mingled together with God. First Corinthians 12:23-24 says, “Those members of the body which we consider to be less honorable, these we clothe with more abundant honor; and our uncomely members come to have more abundant comeliness, but our comely members have no need. But God has blended the body together, giving more abundant honor to the member that lacked.” The Body is built up through all the different members—the comely and the less honorable, the strong and the weak. The different members should not be arranged into different categories; rather, all must be blended together in the Body. When we are blended together, the uncomely ones share the comeliness of the comely ones, and the weak ones receive the nourishing and support of the stronger ones. In this way, the Body is realized.
