(7) Brazil – 2017 FTTA Gospel Trips Report and Prayer Burdens
Hi saints, thank you for all your prayers and support. All 14 of us trainees and serving ones from the U. S. arrived on Friday at the latest by 4:30 PM. We arrived safe and sound. Here are the main events from January 20th to the 22nd 2017. As teams 1 and 2 for Brazil stayed together for both days, we have generated one report for this time only.
• Home meetings with trainees scattered throughout many homes in SaoPaulo.
We had sweet fellowship and heard testimonies of those saints who moved here and those who were saved recently. Time: Friday, Jan. 20t\ night.
• Coordination and fellowship with all trainees from teams 1 and 2, serving ones in Sao Paulo and trainees helping who recently graduated from the full time training in Caacupe, Paraguay. Over 25 in attendance. Time: Saturday, Jan. 21, 9:30 – 11 :30 AM.
• Tour with brother “N” using the metro. Walking tour of Chinatown, financial district, original city center, and museum close to meeting hall. Time: Saturday, Jan. 21st, 1 :45 – 5:30 PM.
• Meeting with with over 130 saints from all of metropolitan Sao Paulo in attendance. Many were friends of church kids, and those who are returning to the church life. 80 were under age of 30 and 50 were college students. Our burden was to cause them to love the Lord more and share concerning the training so that they would not continue to have some erroneous concepts. 5 trainees shared testimonies regarding our salvation, our coming to the training and our training experience after a wonderful time of singing and enjoying the Lord. Afterwards, there were refreshments and another hour of blending. For the saints there, the blending was equally as important as the time of sharing testimonies as it was such fellowship that could express the humanity of Jesus among the saints. Time: Saturday, Jan. 21″, 6:30 – 8:30 PM.
Prayer Burdens:
• That the Saturday night meeting would have impact on the young people all over Sao Paulo to love the Lord more and that the Lord would attract those who have been touched to go to the full-time training.
• For our coordination and service tomorrow (Monday, Jan. 23rd) before the start of the summer school of truth, that the trainees would be blended and coordinated with the full-timers and local saints.
• For the speaking brothers and the 430 young people who will be attending the summer school of truth in Sao Roque to be open and ready to receive a vision concerning the church.
