Dear brothers,
Just like to give you a brief report about my visit to the midwest this past weekend.
Br wente Zhou and one middle age couple (Br and sis Du) came with me.
9/29, Omaha,
There was a chinese-speaking gospel meeting, 6 gospel friends come, all stood up to receive the Lord. English speaking saints were quite supportive , they brought food and took part in gospel sharing.
9/30, brookings, SD.
Br Wu’s family has been here for the past 7 years. He is a professor at SDSU, he has been opened up his house for meetings, right now they have Friday night meeting each week. There are two young couple who meet with them regularly, they are doing post doc here and will be here for another 2 more years. One of the couple , the husband is Caucasian who is a Christian and open to meet with them. It will be good if some saints nearby can take turn to visit them, to encourage them to go on and keep them in the fellowship of the body.
10/1, Minneapolis.
There was a Chinese-speaking gospel meeting that night, about 10 gospel friends came, 3 was baptized. Praise the Lord! , the saints from Brooklyn park have been laboring on the univ. of Minnesota for many years.
10/2. Ames, IA.
There are about 7-8 Chinese-speaking saints here, most of them are students of Iowa State Univ. The student saints/post doc take care of their own meeting here. They do have a Lord’s table meeting, usually about 7-8 saints, the meeting is in English, because there is one Korean sister who is teaching at the ISU, also one couple, the wife is from Philippine who was in the Lord’s recovery for many years, her husband is an America(not in the LR), they really paid the price to come on LD, they need to drive 2 hours one way to the meeting. This place like brookings, needs more straightening and visitation from the nearby localities.
amen,
eric
