2016 Chinese-speaking Students’ Perfecting Training
Dates: Friday, September 3 to Lord’s day September 5, 2016
Location: Church in Arcadia Meeting Hall
General Subject: Completely Consecrating For the Building Up of God’s House
This perfecting training, the saints were impressed with three main items; the need to consecrate for God’s building, how to build vital relationships from friend, brother, partner and disciple and prayer as the secret to accomplish God’s building work. More than 250 saints, mostly college students from the Los Angeles area participated in this meeting. There were more than 700 saints for the last session, which included a joint Lord’s table meeting. Below are some main points of fellowship that were covered:
1) We need to be enlightened and be fully saturated with the thought that in this universe God is doing only one thing – building His eternal habitation. Our consecration affords the Lord a way in us so that we can take the way for the church life for God’s building.
2) After consecration we need to be filled inwardly and outwardly with the Spirit. In the morning we need to spend time being filled by the Spirit and when we meet others we should flow out the Spirit.
3) In the church life we need a lot of mutuality – a lot of spiritual traffic between one another during the week. With our companions we can build up a spiritual and vital relationship by having prayer at fixed times throughout the week, shepherding new ones, visiting gospel friends, preaching the gospel and functioning in the meetings.
4) We should improve our relationships with our gospel friends, helping them advance step by step (Friends, Brothers, Companions, Disciples) until they are able to duplicate this with others. The gospel needs to spread into our daily living so that others can be brought into this building work.
5) We need to see the Vision of God’s building, Practice the Building Work and Fight by Prayer. Prayer is the secret to accomplish God’s building work.
Hallelujah! Christ will build His church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. (Matt. 16:18) #church
