The churches in United Arab Emirates would like to invite you to the 2016 Middle East (GCC Region) Blending Conference to be held from December 2-3, 2016 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

General Information

1. Registration
All saints coming to the conference must register by filling out the attached registration form (individual or group, by locality, as applicable) and send it by email to gulfconference@gmail.com latest by October 1, 2016. Please be informed that we have a limited conference space so please email your registration form early and we will respond within three days to confirm your registration. Once your registration is confirmed you can remit/pay your registration fees. Except for those attending alone we suggest that registration fees be remitted in group by church locality to minimize remittance charges.
The registration fees for the Conference is US$100 per person (inclusive of 2 lunch meals and tea snacks).
Local Currency is in AEDirhams (AED). Approx. exchange rate per USDollar = AED 3.7

Note to overseas saints:
a. In your remittance please indicate “Conference Registration”.
b. If due to the high remittance charges in your respective country, you would like to settle your registration charges upon your arrival, please indicate in the remarks column of the registration form.
2. Conference Location
The conference meetings will be held at the Crown Plaza-Dubai, located in Deira, Dubai, UAE http://www.ihg.com/crowneplaza/hotels/us/en/dubai/dxbcp/hoteldetail between Abu Baker Metro and Salah Al Din Metro Stations, around 15mins drive from Dubai International Airport. Transportation from Dubai International Airport to the hotel and back to the airport can be arranged. The hotel venue is conveniently located near Metro Stations and shopping malls and food courts are within 10mins walking distance.

3. Accommodation and Meals
It is preferable that you book your own accommodation according to your preference as there are many hotels and service apartments within walking distance from the conference venue with reasonable rates from USD100 per night with breakfast. Kindly book your accommodation early as hotel rates from the month of October to January are higher than usual. There will be no transportation provided from other hotels to the Conference venue so we recommend that you book your accommodation online at the hotel venue or within walking distance to the venue. 4. Visas
Tourist/Visit Visa to UAE is required for all nationalities of other countries. Some countries’ nationalities can obtain 30-day single-entry visas upon arrival at the airport. Some are required to obtain their visas prior to their arrival. You can visit the website http://www.mofa.gov.ae/mofa_english for list of countries to see where you belong and for more information pertaining to visa requirements. We suggest that you make further check with the UAE Embassy/Consulate in your home country. If you need visa prior to your departure, we can help facilitate a single-entry visa for you. The cost is USD100 per 14-day visit visa. Please attach a clear scanned copy of your passport (personal information page) and colored passport photo and email to us with the registration form. If you carry Indian passport please attach the last page of your passport also.
5. Climate
December temperature in UAE will be around 23-25oC. Please bring appropriate clothing.
6. Conference Timetable
Timing: 8:30am to 5:30pm on both days, Dec 2, Friday and Dec 3. Saturday
7. Translation
The meetings will be held in English. Chinese translation will be provided. Kindly bring FM receiver.
8. Children and Young People
Children’s meetings (12 years old and below) will take place in parallel with the adult meetings.
9. City Tours/Other Tours (this is optional and not included in the registration cost, to arrange upon arrival).
10. Others
If you wish to visit the neighboring cities (such as Abu Dhabi, around 2hours drive from Dubai) allow extra day or two in your itinerary before or after the conference. Please indicate in the remark column of the registration form if you need extended stay so we can help you coordinate your stay.
