Reports and Prayer Requests from Germany
The Body and the One Accord:
Testimonies:
1. One saint testified that this was the move of the Body for the Body. Many times we felt that there was a real struggle, but at the same time there was also a feeling that we were enjoying the support of the whole Body. This is not a small matter.
2. Another saint testified that he saw the one accord in action in Germany. It was a beautiful coordination and transition from one gospel team to the next gospel team. There was a sense of entering into someone’s else labor. The teams baptized contacts on this trip that others had initially contacted on a previous gospel trip, but none of the ones that they had directly contacted on this trip were baptized. The hope is that in the following trips others would baptize them. This is not our glory but the Lord’s glory. What an honor and privilege to enter into this labor!
3. One saint also said that the Lord is the source. Jesus also knew the Father as His source. He could do nothing from Himself. We are really nothing. In this context, I really enjoyed my gospel team. We were helping one another and supporting one another and never criticizing one another’s shortcomings.
Please pray for the one accord that commands the Lord’s blessing for all the remaining gospel trips. The gospel trips are increasing in number, but may there also be a wonderful harmony through blending prayer and fellowship.
Translators:
Testimonies:
1. The saints had a new translator who did not feel qualified to translate. He seemed very concerned. They told him to simply translate what we say. Eventually, a little later on, he was brought to call on the Lord. This solved his concern.
2. Another group of saints felt that the Lord blessed them on the whole trip. A new translator was saved, a Syrian refugee received the Lord and asked for a Bible right away, and an Iranian refugee was baptized. The saints felt that only the Lord could do this.
Please pray for the translators to be raised up and perfected to be our co-workers. The Lord needs these translators to be channels of life to the refugees. Also pray that our own brothers and sisters who can translate will be able to come to Germany either by visitation or migration.
Meeting Halls:
The Lord has answered prayers to acquire some meeting halls in both Stuttgart and Frankfurt. These halls will be used for gospel meetings, seminars, meetings of the church, and other gospel activities. There is still very much a need to pray for similar facilities in both Berlin and Düsseldorf. Even though there are halls in both of these cities, they are inadequate in size and location.
Please pray for meeting halls in Berlin and Düsseldorf that are in the best location and adequate to meet the ongoing need.
Bible Distribution:
Testimony: We encountered a number of German students on the university campus who were very open and were happy to receive the Recovery Version New Testament. A few also prayed with us to receive the Lord. Each time this happens, there is an almost surreal sense of disbelief, accompanied by a real praise to the Lord for what He is doing. Our experiences have shown us that the fields really are white and that finding these ones should be a normal and ongoing experience in our Christian life.
Please pray the Lord will continue to bless the distribution of the Bible and to bring in remaining fruit through this distribution.
