Germany update (April, 6, 2016)
Report from the same brother in Germany:
Day 1
Afterwards, we visited another camp. The refugees were so open and surrounded us within 5 minutes of us arriving at their camp. In the end, we arranged that 3 families would visit us outside the camp the next day.
Day 2
Although the arrangement was for three families to come to McDonalds, nine adults and nine young children came! The sisters looked after the women and children. The refugee who organized his refugee friends said to a brother, ‘I am not happy in my camp, I am only happy when I am with you. I always wait and look forward to your contact’.
The language barrier made things difficult as we only had one translator. One brother mentioned that we were Christians and we pray for you. “We are not here to force you to change your religion but we want to tell you about what we believe.” The refugees said “We want to hear!” They listened intently, one leaning right across the table trying to hear. After the gospel had been shared, it became apparent that one of the four was very open.
Day 3
We didn’t have an appointment, but we brought some balls and ended up playing games and football with over 20 children and men who came out of the camp. A few sisters played games and made crafts with the young children while the brothers played football with the men and boys. Some female refugees brought biscuits and tea out of the camp and the sister’s congregated with them to get to know them and share a bit about the mystery of human life.
