To all the saints and churches in the Lord’s recovery:
We would like to give you an update concerning obtaining the land for future building to meet the need of the Lord’s interests in Brazil and South America. This matter was first presented to the recovery at the ITERO in October of this year in Brazil.
We have located an 8,600 square foot plot of land near a major bus station and the intersection of two major highway arteries in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The sellers have agreed to hold this land for us until January 31, 2016. At this present stage, we feel it is highly expedient for us to move quickly to secure this land so that we can build a proper facility.
Due to the current financial crisis in Brazil, the prices of real estate in Brazil are very much to the advantage of the buyer. In addition the Brazilian currency has fallen 33% against the dollar in the past year.
At the present time the saints from Brazil have offered a total of US$300,000 and, from outside of Brazil, there have been total offerings of an additional US$200,000. This gives us a total of US$500,000 toward this need.
The cost for the land is US$1.25 million. So we are in need of an additional US$750,000.
