Dear Saints,
Praise the Lord! The moving God is moving in Papua New Guinea! Since we came to Port Moresby, we have stayed here for 7 weeks. The Lord is really faithful and bountiful that He supplys us and strengthens us in every situation with His riches so that we can settle down very soon. By His words, we are renewed day by day in all our life, work, and activity.
Last month we have a lot of prayer before the Lord in every morning to know His intention so that His intention will become the goal of our daily living. After that, we spend the time to pursue the spiritual books in a corporate way, which gives us a lot of supplement and enjoyment in the whole day.
By the Lord’s blessing, every week we have three meetings in our place:
On Lord’s day, all the saints can come together for the Bible-reading meeting which is for the saints to build up a living of reading the Bible and praying. Now the book that we are pursuing is the Gospel of John. Since we have the meeting on Lord’s day, there are always new ones coming every week. In the beginning, we have 16 person joined us, but last Lord’s day we have 26 person and 2 kids joined us. Praise the Lord! After the meeting, all of us can stay here to enjoy the love feast so that the saints can have more fellowship and blending. After eating, we will have the visitation according to their fellowship.
On Tuesday evening, some saints can come to the prayer meeting to fulfill the prayer ministry. Usually we have around 11 saints joined us. It is not easy for the saints to separate their time for the prayer meeting. It is not only that they are very busy with their work but also it is not safe to go out in the evening. But last Tuesday the numbers of the saints who joined the prayer meeting reached 13.
On Friday, we have the service meeting in which the brothers who have a strong burden come together for the fellowship. We have 6 brothers joined the meeting so that we can have the fellowship and the coordination in the Body.
With the help of the saints in New Zealand, we have contacted the local family in Port Moresby. Sister Maria who is a teacher have joined the full-time training in New Zealand from 2008 to 2009. Bro Simon is working at the department of education in Port Moresby. He is the trainer of teachers. They had the prayer meeting in their house on Tueaday and pursued the ministry books when they came back from New Zealand in 2010. Also, they didn’t join any denominations but pray for the Lord’s testimony in PNG. The Lord really have answered their prayer, which was a strong encouragement to us.
Please pray for PNG continually.
In Christ,
Daniel Gan & Antipas Lan
