Report from the trip to Richmond, Canada

About 70 saints joined the weekend perfecting training in Manning Park (resort), among whom about 30 are college saints from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), about 30 are young working saints, and 10 community saints. This is the second year MSW was invited to coordinate with them. Last year about 30 saints (mainly college saints) joined the weekend perfecting around the same time.

Before the trip, I prayed with the serving ones in Richmond once a week for 4 weeks. The young brothers in their 20s are rising up to take the ownership and coordinate in a few functional groups, such as planning the activities, testimony/outline preparation, logistics, etc.

On Saturday we arrived at Manning Park (resort) before noon. The saints enjoyed a picnic lunch followed by group activities.

The first meeting was on Saturday evening. The general topic and burden is “God’s Eternal Purpose Becoming our Glorious Destiny” (神永远的定旨成为我们荣耀的定命, 2010 New Jersey Training). Br. Liu Wen( 刘文), Peter Kao and I coordinated in speaking followed by encouraging testimonies from college saints and young working saints. At the end almost all saints went to the podium and consecrated themselves to the Lord openly one by one.

The second meeting was on Lord’s day morning after the table. The burden is to encourage the saints to practice morning revival (personal and corporate), vital group (prayer/Bible reading/gospel preaching), and God-man corporate living. Currently a few sisters are living together, and one brother’s house is being prepared.

The third meeting was on Lord’s day afternoon for Q&A. Many questions are related to making friends(交友), marriage, work-church life balancing, etc. Br. Liu Wen, Peter Kao and I gave our testimonies of how the Lord touched us in giving the first priority to Christ and the church.

On Monday morning I also joined the 烽火台祷告. The saints have been practicing this weekly prayer since 2010 NJ training. In the past 5 years they labored on vital groups and on average 100 saints were baptized annually without big gospel meetings.

Thank the Lord for this opportunity. Through such a blending I learned from the saints in Richmond concerning the details on vital group practice, morning revival and how to perfect the younger saints.

Thanks,
Grace be with you!
