Oh Lord, gain the Portuguese in Lisbon

Praise the Lord we arrive Jan 24th in Lisbon, Portugal! Among us are 5 FTTA trainees, 1 serving brother
and 2 FTTL sisters. In our Bibles for Europe fellowship in London we learned that there are less than 50
saints in the whole county. Lisbon is the capitol city with 2.8 million. There are 2 young couples working
and serving here with the purpose of gaining the Lord’s testimony in Lisbon.
This Lord’s day we met in one of the couple’s home; however since the ground has yet to be taken we did
not take the Lord’s table. We sang, watched a ministry meeting video and had some overflow. This
evening we prepared 100 Portuguese bibles that are to be distributed in the coming week.
On the airplane ride from London to Portugal two of the sisters made conversation with their seatmate. In
this conversation they let the young woman know the purpose of their trip. The young woman was
Christian and said she had had been deviating from her faith but recently was having a turn back to the
Lord. The sisters gave her a mystery of human life tract and she was very open to receiving it.
Prayer burdens:
 Please pray for encouraging bible distributions that will take place this week on two major
campuses here in Lisbon. Oh Lord, gain the Portuguese!
 Pray for some hungry and open ones that are ready to be shepherded.
