Raining season has started in the beginning of this month in Jaffna, it almost rains every day, and the climate
becomes cool here.
In October our main work is to shepherd the new ones in the campus and community.
Campus shepherding work:
1. Twice a week we will meet them in the play ground, their room, or our house for the exercising their spirit by
calling on the name of the Lord, this is best way to exercise their spirit by experience. When we meet the new
believers, we encourage them to call on Lord’s name first, and try to call loudly, openly, and unceasingly,
through this way they can release the spirit. After that we will enjoy one verse with them by prayreading, they
all are like the new born babies, longing for the guileless milk of the word in order that they may grow. Now
there are 5 students(bro.Leon, Dharshan, Jesuraja, Partheepan, Dhushyanth) regularly under this shepherding,
and another 7 are not regularly, we need more prayer for them.
2. For the shepherding we also prepared the love feast for new ones this month, we nearly arranged 15 times love
feast, about 20 person times were invited for the love feast, we hope that they can be more cherished and
nourished through the love feast.
3. In order to have more blending and perfecting with the new believers, from this month we invited the students
to come to our house on Saturday evening, they will have dinner with us, stay at our house and participate the
Lord’s table meeting next day. Until now one brother came and stayed with us for the enjoyment, may the Lord
release more to come.
Home meetings in the community:
Once a week we go to 3 new houses for home meeting, by the enjoyment of New Believers MR we feed them,
and we have come to week 5 God’s Economy and Consecration to Love the Lord. Among these 3 families 2 are
from denomination, and one is Hinduism background, may the Lord open them to God’s economy and turn to
His recovery.
Prayer Items:
1. Pray for the shepherding of 11 newly baptized ones and 3 key students in this campus.
2. Pray for the 3 new families so that they all can turn to the Lord and come to the Church life.
