Update the progress of the training center in Boston

Update Concerning the Boston Training Center  – DEC 2013

Thank the Lord for answering the prayer of the churches regarding the Boston training center. The final walk through by the Boston fire department occurred on November 26th. The only item that they required was the add- ing of one fire extinguisher. The occupancy and use permit was issued on December 2nd. The FTTA-XB moved in immediately thereafter, and the training was able to use the new building for about 10 days before the current semester ended. The church in Boston had its first Lord’s table in the building on December 8th.

Praise the Lord for His overcoming of all the obstacles to finish the work that He began and carried out through His Body. He is truly the Alpha and the Omega.

  • Please pray that the Lord will continue to grant the training and the church favor with the city and its residents and will gain and perfect many young ones for His move in Europe and on the whole earth.

Dear saints,

We would like to update you on the progress of the training center in Boston. Everything related to the construction of

the building is finished, including the parking lot and landscape. The finished building is certainly outstanding and

continues to have a positive effect on the surrounding neighborhoods. We testify that this project was certainly of

the Lord and brought in the Lord’s blessing to the churches in the Greater Boston Area.

In order to get the final Occupancy Permit and the Assembly Permit from the Boston Fire Department

(BFD) and the city of Boston’s Inspectional Service Division (ISD), respectively, the following things

need to happen in this order:

  • Get the Fire Alarm Permit from BFD in order to call for the inspection associated with the fire alarm system.
  • (Application for this permit was made over 3 weeks ago; usual response time is 2-3 weeks.)
  • Pass the Standpipe Flow Test, a test done by BFD personnel coming to the site to verify that the water supply to the fire sprinklers is adequate.
  • Upon completion of the matters above, BFD personnel will schedule a final walk through of the whole building to check for safety issues. If there are no issues, application for the Occupancy Permit and Assembly Permit may be submitted. Upon approval, the training and the church in Boston are free to move in and use the building.

Therefore, we ask for the saints’ prayers specifically that the Fire Alarm Permit would be released immediately without unnecessary delay so that the final testing, inspections, and walk through could be scheduled quickly.

We rejoice and thank the Lord for bringing us to this point. May our prayers give Him the way to head up all things related to the timely completion of this project.

Graduates of the FTTA Boston Extension to serve in Europe

The Full-time Training in Anaheim–Extension Boston (FTTA-XB) was established in August 2011 to carry out the burden that Brother Lee expressed in 1977 to have a training in the Boston area to prepare young saints in the Lord’s recovery to emigrate to Europe for the Lord’s move there. A decision was made to provide a one-year extension of the training for the graduates of the FTTA. 27 trainees finished the first year of the FTTA-XB in June 2012. Of these, three are currently serving in Europe, and one is attending graduate school in Italy. A number of others are either working or serving in the Boston area. More of the 27 graduates would have gone to Europe if adequate finances had been available. 5 additional trainees completed the Extension training in December 2012. Of these, 2 are available to go to Europe immediately. 15 more will complete the training in June 2013, and almost half of these have expressed an interest in serving in Europe after their graduation. Moreover, 3 couples who were married after completing the FTTA-XB will be ready to go to Europe in 2013-2014. The number of graduates who are burdened to serve in Europe has exceeded the financial resources that are currently available to support them. This means that many who are prepared and burdened for Europe may not be able to go.

Those who are burdened by the Lord to give to support the graduates of the FTTA-XB for their service in Europe can find instructions at www.lordsmove.org/offerings.html to give by check, credit or debit card, or bank wire transfer. Please include a note that says “Boston Trainees to Europe.” The cost to support an unmarried serving one in Western Europe is 1800 USD per month.
