Below is a brief report regarding the impact of the recent typhoon on the saints in the Philippines.
“This is the latest update we have gathered regarding the saints in Visayas that were affected by typhoon Yolanda who have either homes totally and partially damaged. Most of the saints are either living under the stars or in tents.
Bogo City, Daan Bantayan, Medellin, San Regemio ~ 120 Families
Bantayan Island ~ 45 Families
Camotes Island ~ 100 Saints
Isabel Leyte ~ 40 Families
Ormoc City ~ 7 Families
Kanagnga Leyte ~ 41 Families (Fatalities: One elder and his grandson)
Biliaba Leyte ~ 3 Families
Baybay Leyte ~ 9 Families
For Tacloban City, according to the last report received, 6 families have evacuated to Calbayog City.
Meeting Halls: Almost all of the meeting halls that were near the path of the eye of the Typhoon were totally damaged. Most of the halls farther away sustained partial damage to the roof and walls.
Communication is still down in some parts of Leyte and Samar Islands; therefore, this is only a partial report.”

· That the saints in the affected areas, and especially those in areas with no communication, will be protected, strengthened, and preserved by the Lord
· That the national government and local government (of all the affected areas in central Philippines, including the Visayan region and parts of western Philippines in Palawan, will work effectively together (it has been a slow process of clearing away the debris, clearing the affected infrastructure so that food aid and relief goods, medicine, and humanitarian related services can reach the citizenry who are most affected by the super typhoon
· That electrical power and communication lines will be restored as soon as possible
· That the coworkers, elders, and saints in all the affected areas will have the discernment to act wisely and decisively under the leading of the mingled spirit
