Forwarded text from a sister:
Amen. We are safe, thank the Lord. Samar mi (We’re in Samar). Delikado na ang Tacloban, survival (Tacloban City is already dangerous for survival). Wala man relief goods (There’s no relief goods). Tanan groceries didto gipang-looting na (All groceries were prominent of looting in the wake of the devastation). Daghan man wala balay, wala food, ug clothing (Many of them no longer had their house, foods, and clothing). Wala pud light, water, signal, and everything (There’s nothing at all even light/electricity, water supply, signal connection, and everything).

– From Sis. – The Church in Tacloban City

Greetings from the church in Imus, Cavite!

Bro Jessie Arbutante just called me up this morning. His wife Sis Julie from Bogo was able to contact him to fellowship with the saints to deliver about 50 to 100 sacks of rice coz their place s heavily devastated by d typhoon, causing total black-out, no telecom connections & d mtg halls & residence of Bro Paul Argawanon s heavily damaged.

  • sacks of rice, some bottled water & canned goods or instant noodles r URGENTLY NEEDED TODAY.
  • saints in Bogo & Bantayan ran out of food supplies now! Nothing to eat…

Lord, remember our sister Leslie Young’s family in Tacloban, brother Novela/Elnie’s family there in Leyte with many saints’ families there in Leyte and Samar, northern Cebu Bogo, Medelin, SanRemegio, DaanBantayan, in Bantayan, StaFe, Bantaya ,d Madredejors; many many families lost their house and properties! Remember them let the government do a quick job in helping the victims! Lord, they are all in Your supplying and strengthening hand! Amen! And Amen! 🙂

There is a calamity fund set up by the coworkers of southern Phils. I will get that account name and number to you soon. Some of us will also remit money online to the church in Cebu for disbursing to the nearby churches.

Just heard sec. Rene almendras spoke on tv news in Tacloban, he says that cebu has the best position to send much needed relief goods to tacloloban and other parts of the visayas due to their logistical capabilities. Just spoke to Deseyo now, advice him to form a group of serving brothers to coordinate all logistical concerns in Cebu as the base. We should also help in any way we can. (Text of Brother Joseph Lim)

Amen saints! Many of our brothers and sisters in the south, much more in the Visayas were heavily affected by super typhoon Yolanda and they badly need our help. Since it will not be practical for us to send them goods, we can send them to the account of the church in Cebu City, who will be responsible in providing the necessary goods for our brothers and sisters. May the spirit of brotherly love be a reality to all of us in the midst of this suffering.
