Iberian Peninsula report summer 2013

The need for young, bi-lingual, trained and constituted saints to migrate to Spain is great. We face a fierce battle from the enemy. The greatest danger to the Lord’s move in Europe is a fading interest within the Lord’s recovery regarding the seriousness of this endeavour.

Spain, as well as the other Spanish speaking countries, is blessed with having so much of the ministry in Spanish. The three modes of mass propagation of the ministry: the radio, Rhema and now Bibles for Europe, are active and are generating more seekers than we can care for. Therefore the responsibility in the face of such a blessing is also great, but the shortage of manpower and resources is making it a challenge to meet this responsibility.

The Iberian Peninsula consists of the countries of Spain and Portugal (excluding their islands and Ceuta and Melilla), Andorra (a very small landlocked principality in southwestern Europe), and the territory of Gibraltar ( an overseas territory of the United Kingdom). The number of churches and saints on the Iberian Peninsula is as indicated in the map and table listed below (click on the links below). There are wide areas of the country where we have many contacts whom we are currently shepherding online and by visiting.

Areas we are focusing our labor on:

  • North of Spain – the Pamplona, Bilbao, Santander corridor – We regularly visit many seekers, most of whom are Rhema recipients, as well as shepherd our own saints. This area is mainly covered by a recently retired Spanish brother in conjunction with the serving ones.
  • South and East of Spain – the Malaga, Murcia, Valencia corridor and the island of Mallorca – We have more recently started to visit the seekers in this area, most of whom are radio listeners, as well as shepherding and strengthening the saints in the area. This area is mainly covered by another recently retired Spanish brother and one of the serving brothers.
  • Lisbon, Portugal – The next Iberian Peninsula conference will take place for the first time in Lisbon in December 2013. There is a strong burden for a lampstand to be raised up by the Lord in this important capital city.
  • Those who are receiving and enjoying the ministry – All the churches have risen up to labor and to shepherd these seekers into the church life. Many remaining fruit have already been borne.
