This month we enjoy morning revival of Crystallization-study of Daniel and Zechariah week 5-8. Week 5 reveals us that because a war is taking place in the spiritual world behind the physical world; there is the necessity of spiritual warfare, of fighting, to bring in the kingdom of God. The church must engage in spiritual warfare through the ministry of prayer. If there is no prayer, the kingdom cannot come. We need to fight through our prayer to exercise the divine will and overthrow the power of Satan.
From 10th to 16th of June, there was one week propagation in Jaffna. According to brothers’ fellowship, we had corporate Skype prayer every night (10:00-10:15) from 2nd to 16th. We prayed for the entire city, the people’s heart, and the coordination among the saints. Through the prayer, one brother who went there for propagation testified that it was a different and wonderful experience compared with before when there was no prayer as support from the Body of Christ. Praise the Lord! Now we continue praying on Skype for one month propagation in Gampaha.
There is one brother who was diagnosed as blood cancer. All the local churches were and are still praying for him. Through the body’s prayer, he experienced the healing from the Lord and is recovering in a positive way. Sometimes he needs to stay in hospital located in Colombo, but he tries to attend every Lord’s Table meeting in Kandy. He testified once in the meeting that he told the doctor to go back home and the doctor said there was no possibility for him to go according to his condition. But the next day morning which is the Lord’s Day, his body was possible to go for the Lord’s Table meeting. We are so encouraged by his testimony.
We also pray for the youth work in Sri Lanka. May the Lord raise up more young people who are like Daniel and his three companions setting their heart not to be defiled by the world and bearing an anti-testimony to be used by God for turning the age! In our locality we have youth meeting every Saturday and usually five youths partaking of it. We are enjoying the travel to the Bible from Genesis by which they are touched and practice in their family and school living.
Intercession Items from the Church in Kandy:
1. Pray for the burden to go out and contact people one by one. May the Lord strengthen the gospel atmosphere so that it is full of life, love, and fruit-bearing (John 15:17 & note).
2. Pray for one month propagation in Gampaha to gain 5 families on July 1～31.
